År 1938 beställde direktör Gabrielsson, vid Astra i Södertälje, 10 st Oslojollar från ett varv i Trosa.
Enligt uppgift ville Gabrielsson, som inte själv seglade, bevisa att 10 exakt likadana båtar som kappseglade jämsides i samma vind skulle komma i mål samtidigt. Personalen inbjöds att köpa båtarna och kunde betala månadsvis genom löneavdrag. Intresse fanns och det bildades en segelklubb. Vid seglingar på Hallsfjärden utanför Södertälje fick dock chefen Gabrielsson se att hans teori inte stämde och det sägs att han efter den tredje seglingen lämnade bryggan och aldrig mer talade om segling eller Oslojollarna.
Nr 114 köptes av ingenjör Torgny Eriksson som också deltog i de flesta kappseglingarna. Sedan han slutat på Astra 1946 tog han båten med till Ekoln och Uppsala. Oslojollen seglade han ensam eller med familjen. Sommaren 1994 seglades jollen för sista gången och då med originalseglet hissat.
Båten var i dåligt skick och Sjöhistoriska museet valde då att renovera den till det skick den bör ha haft som seglande.
