Hilmer Andersson drev Krokslätts Bio t.o.m 1958. Bion lades ner och stolarna köptes upp av boxaren Ingemar "Ingo" Johanssons (1932-2009) manager Edwin Ahlqvist (1898-1984). Stolarna användes år 1958 vid ringside i matchen mellan "Ingo" Johansson och Eddie Machen på Nya Ullevi. Ingo vann.
Krokslätts nya Folkets Hus 1932-1964.
Arbetarrörelsen behövde samlingslokaler. Ett av de som byggdes låg i Krokslätt. Det fanns redan en samlingslokal som kallades folkets hus (Krokslätts gamla Folkets Hus) men som var ägt av ett textilbolag. Det hade börjat förfalla och revs 1938.
1924 samlades personer från socialdemokraterna, fackklubbar från jäst- och textilfabriker samt Krokslätts kommunistiska ungdomsklubb. Möte beslutade att bilda en folketshusförening. Varje andel kostade 10 kronor. En del arbetare köpte andelar på avbetalning. Varje avbetalning kostade 1 krona. Det kom också att anordnas basarer, teaterföreställningar och danser.
1932 invigdes Krokslätts Folkets Hus. För att få ekonomin att gå ihop fanns det en biograf i huset. Det var biografen som bar upp ekonomin. Av många skäl kom man att få ekonomiska problem under 1950-talet.
Det som slutligen tog knäcken på ekonomin var TV-ålderns intåg. Antalet bioföreställningar hade minskat från elva till tre per vecka. 1964 såldes huset.
