Text in English: Nereid wearing a turban-like head-dress with large plumes. The trunk is nude and the arms are replaced by insignificant leafy vines with the ends rolled up. The transition to the tail section is marked by large leafy ornamentation. The fish tail is entwined with the tail of a fish or dolphin whose head can be seen at the foot of the sculpture. The sculpture is curved slightly to the front and at the top comes to an angled point. The rear side is double-sided, except for the upper section, and has a number of hollowed-out areas or indentations. The backboard is robust and carved in one piece with the figure. The sculpture is rather well preserved.
