Mikrometer-stickmått, hållare av gjutgods i form av en I-balk med flänsytorna slipade. Genomgående kanal med mikrometergraderad chuck för utbytbar mätstav. Två stavar av 175 resp. 90 mm lgd. I grön originalkartong med text: "Hjorth micrometer depth guage, manufactured by Hjorth Lathe and tool company, Boston, Mass., manufactures of precision bench lathes, machine and machinists' tools. I kartongen en bruksanvisning. Apparatens längd: 170 mm, bredd: 15 mm, höjd: 45 mm. Kartongens längd: 175 mm, bredd: 55 mm, höjd: 20 mm. "The Hjorth micrometer depth gauge. This instrument of precision is used for gauging dimensions, particularly depths, quickly and accurately. The cylindrical screw has a pitch of forty threads to the inch, and the micrometer nut which locks the rod is divided into twenty-five parts, so that when the nut is turned one space the rod moves one-thousandth of an inch. Directions Pass the rod through the cylindrical screw and the micrometer nut to the desired position# tighten the screw first, and then tighten the nut. The rod is now held in the contracting screw and ready to be adjusted as desired by loosening the end screw and operating the micrometer nut one or more spaces as indicated by the pointer. By tightening the end screw again the adjustment is kept intact. Manufactured by Hjort Lathe & Tool Company Office: 27 School Street, Works: 11 Beacon Street Boston, Woburn".
