The Amfibiebil 101 C (FV622S) is very similar to the British Stalwart Mark 2 (FV622), but has a few subtle differences - including a wider dash board with more switches and gauges on it, a fixed tailboard rather than opening, additional front side lights at the top of the cab (for when swimming), three seats in the cab as standard.
All the 101 C were made at Coventry in the first half of 1967.
Sweden fitted the FOCO 4000 cranes, and I wonder if the kustartilleri's own workshop fitted them?
The 101 A (Prototype) were made in 1962 - has flat sides and a single (swing out) navigation tiller in the cab.
Only two were bought by Sweden.
The 101 B (FV620) were made in 1965 - has corrugated side and tail boards, and two navigation steering levers. The hull bilge drainage is controlled by water passing through the Marine propulsion system (so doesn't pump water out when propulsion inlet is out of the water in rough conditions) with a manual back up bilge pump.
Sweden fitted Boughton hydraulic winches to the outside of the front of the cab, and FOCO 4000 cranes.
Unsure if all six 101 B (FV620) had FOCO cranes fitted or not.
The 101 C (FV622S - S = Swedish version of the FV622) were made in 1967 - has a non opening flat metal sheet tailboard, internally mounted hydraulics winch, and larger corner windows. The hull bilge drainage is controlled electronically, with a manual back up bilge pump. The Dowty Marine propulsion units of the FV622 have slightly more power than those on the FV620.
Records show somewhere between 18 and 20 101 C bought by Sweden.
