Album med fotografier från pensionatet Breidagård. Breidagård startades 1916 av Johanna Sandén (1852-1939) och hennes fyra döttrar Hanna (1888-1946), Ruth (1890-1955), Bertha (1892-1975) och Olga (1895-1991). Maken och fadern var kyrkoherde Johannes Sandén ( 1839-1914).
Pensionatet Breidagård är ett exempel på kvinnlig handlingskraft. Prästänkan Johanna Sandén lät tillsammans med sina döttrar bygga gästhemmet Breidagård, som numera är stiftsgård. När maken Johannes avlidit och de var tvungna att flytta från prästgården så köpte de en mängd timmer från några överloppshus i Skokloster. Vinter 1915 fraktades fjorton lass timmer över Ekolns is och vidare till Funbo, där de hade köpt mark. Johanna och hennes döttrar ville fullfölja de gamla prästgårdstraditionerna att ta emot gäster vid sitt gästhem i Funbo.
Den 31 maj 1916 flyttade de in och kunde snart ta emot de första gästerna. Sommar och juletid var det högsäsong. Den smalspåriga järnvägen med Lennakatten gjorde att man kunde ta sig till pensionatet.
År 1963 sålde de två kvarlevande döttrarna, Bertha och Olga, gården till stiftsrådet, som fortsatte gästverksamheten med kurser och konferenser i stiftets regi.
