I februari 1972 gick 150 medlemmar ur Konsum-föreningen i protest mot att styrelsen för Konsumföreningen Alfa i Gävle bestämt att butiken i Vallsta skulle läggas ned. De började istället att handla på Hälsinge Livs.

- History
Per Willehard Häger föddes 1899 i Sandarne. Han blev journalist och startade 1937 tidningen Härjedalningen för att några år senare bli chefredaktör för Bollnäs-tidningen. När den lades ner blev han tidningen Ljusnans lokalredaktör i Bollnäs där han stannade fram till pensioneringen.
P W Häger fotograferade själv till sina reportage. Han blev med tiden en skicklig fotograf som dokumenterade i en rak, dokumentär stil. De flesta bilder i samlingen är från södra Hälsingland, 1950-1960-tal. Tidens stora sociala, tekniska och ekonomiska förändringar speglas bland bilderna: massbilism och TV såväl som gammaldags skogs- och jordbruk.
Samlingen innehåller närmare 20 000 negativ och kopior som skänktes till Länsmuseet Gävleborg 1990.
