Bilden har tagits i samband med kulturhistorisk dokumentation av Åkerby kyrka, Uppland år 2007.
Kyrkans interiör präglas av det tidiga 1800-talets stora ombyggnad men också av en restaurering som genomfördes 1929. Interiören är stämningsfull med mycket patina. Golvet är täckt med kalkstensplattor. Bänkinredningen i två slutna kvarter är tillkommen 1824-26 samtidigt som orgelläktaren byggdes som ersättning för en äldre läktare. På främre bänkskärmarna står två pyramider från 1755. Orgeln härstammar från 1600-talet och inköptes till Åkerby år 1745 där den uppmonterades på nytt. Orgelverket ombyggdes på 1880-talet men fasaden bevarades. Orgelläktaren byggdes 1824-26 och har marmoreringsmålade pelare och en bröstning i gråtoner med marmoreringsmålade fyllningar. Orgelfasaden härstammar från 1600-talet även om den är delvis ombyggd.
