Husby-Sjutolfts kyrka vid Husby by ligger på en moränbacke som skjuter upp ur den omgivande lerslätten. På andra sidan om den gamla landsvägen ligger ett före detta skolhus som idag används som församlingshem. Kyrkan har genom historien varit nära knuten till Ekolsunds slott som ligger ett par kilometer bort i sydostlig riktning.
Husby-Sjutolfts kyrka har den för medeltida kyrkor typiska formen med ett rektangulärt långhus med rakslutet kor, ett torn i väster, sakristia i norr samt vapenhus i söder. Sakristian är äldst och antas ha byggts mellan 1250 och 1350. Den skulle i så fall ha hört till en äldre träkyrka. Det är oklart när, men långhuset har förmodligen byggts på 1300-talet medan tornet och vapenhuset byggts på 1400-talet. Byggnadsmaterialet är gråsten och tegel.
De vitkalkade fasaderna är spritputsade med släta hörn, omfattningar och smygar. Fönstren är stora rundbågsfönster försedda med spröjsade träbågar målade i gult. Fönsterbänkarna är spåntäckta. Kyrkan har branta spånklädda och tjärade tak. Tornet avslutas uppåt med en svängd spånklädd huv och en lanternin. Tornhuven och de stora kyrkfönstren tillkom på 1780-90-talet. Ingång till kyrkan sker genom vapenhuset och genom tornets bottenvåning. Tornentrén från 1836 har en påkostad dubbeldörr med klassicistisk dekor. Vapenhuset har en spetsbågig tegelportal. Den ursprungliga huvudentrén i långhusets sydmur, i vapenhuset, är en gotisk tegelportal, med flersprångig och profilerad omfattning.
