Fotograf Selma Sahlberg (1883 – 1972).
Bygdefotograf med huvudsakligen landskapsbilder från Munkedalstrakten och porträtt.
Selma föddes 12 februari 1883 i Torsby i södra Bohuslän men flyttade med familjen till Munkedal 1895. Man bodde på Lerberg Rusthållsgård i Håby där fadern var arrendator som f.d. fanjunkare. 1901 bosatte familjen sig i Lycke Nedergård i Håby.
Selma flyttade 1910 till Granliden i Foss och kallade sig då fotograf.
Från 1926 till sin död 1972 står hon som ägare till Lyckebo under Möe i Munkedal. Hit flyttade även hennes mor Elemina samt syskonen Elin Charlotta (bageriidkerska, Julius Harald (diversearbetare) och Johan Charles (bageriarbetare).
I källarvåningen fanns affär och bageri som drevs av systern Elin. Mellanplanet i huset bestod av kök, matsal och salong samt Elins rum. I nästa våning residerade Selma. Dels hade hon sitt rum där, men så var det den stora fotoateljén med fönster längs hela väggen och del av taket. En möblerad hall fanns utanför där kunderna kunde få vänta. Intill var ett litet kök som fungerade som laboratorium där det mättes upp olika kemikalier för fotolabbet.
Förutom arbetet i ateljén med porträttfotografering, arbetade hon mycket ute i landskapet och fotograferade människor och hus. Hon hade också många uppdrag åt Munkedals bruk genom sin ´bekantskap med brukets direktör Olof Bildt.
Stora delar av Selmas livsverk har under åren försvunnit men cirka 2 000 av hennes bilder finns bevarade på Bohusläns museum.
Selma var mycket noga med att de foton hon lämnade ifrån sig skulle vara perfekta. Hon rättade till alla skavanker som syntes på plåten och sedan bättrade hon på de färdiga bilderna. Det kunde till och med hända att brudbuketten på bilden hade fler blommor än den bukett som bruden bar.

Christian von Schönfeldt
Född 1661 eller 1662 i Tyskland, död 1742 i Uddevalla(begravd 12 mars). Gift första gången med en dotter till hovmusikern i Stockholm Hans Henrik Tauscher, hon dog i barnsäng 1716 (systern var gift med kammarskrivaren Wilhelm Mumma vars syster var gift med David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl). Gift andra gången i början av 1720-talet med Catharina Bengtsdotter. död 1737, och tredje gången (troligen 1738) med Gunilla Rassmusdotter. Det nionde barnet föddes en dryg månad efter Christians egen begravning. Sönerna Jacob och Mårten Christian var båda målare.
Den första uppgift vi har om Christian von Schönfeldt är ett bevarat brev från 1699, till Magistraten i Göteborg, där Schönfeldt anhåller om att få uppträda med sina konster. Schönfeldt var ledare för ett comediantsällskap och uppträdde också som lindansare. Anhållan beviljades, men i konkurrens med andra comediantsällskap fick Schönfeldts sällskap dra vidare. Schönfeldt stannade dock kvar i Göteborg och började försörja sig som porträttmålare. Eftersom vi inte vet mer om hans bakgrund har det spekulerats i om han var av tysk adlig börd. En mer trolig teori är att han tillhörde en resandesläkt eftersom det sannolikt inte var några andra än resande som uppträdde som lindansare och komedienner. Troligtvis hade han fått viss måleriutbildning i Nordtyskland. Schönfeldt var dock inte skråansluten och kom därför i konflikt med målarmästarna i Göteborg som vid denna tid var medlemmar av Stockholms måleriämbete då Göteborg inte hade något eget. Dock kunde Schönfeldt fortsätta sitt arbete tack vare sin beskyddare, landshövdingen och guvernören J. B. Schönleben, för vilken han utförde måleriarbeten på Bohus slott. När Göteborgs Stads Konst- och Målareämbete bildades 1702 blev Schönfeldt medlem och kom därefter att få en ledande ställning inom det västsvenska måleriet. Ännu 1705 anmäldes dock för målareämbetet, att Schönfeldt »brukar sig hos komedianterne». År 1739 flyttade han till Uddevalla och arbetade där som landmästare med verkstad och lärgossar. Eftersom det under Karl XII:s krig fanns dåligt med pengar till kyrkomålningar fick Schönfeldts produktion ett avbrott 1713-1725 och hans kyrkomålningar brukar uppdelas i två perioder, före och efter avbrottet.
