Ett vinglas på fot som ingår i en samling servisglas beställda i stor uppsättning till skofabrikör Anders Fredrik Carlsson i Vänersborg. Samtliga glas är dekorerade med slipade blomster- och bladrankor som löper runt sidorna. Samtliga glas, utom punschmuggarna, står på en hög smal fot vilken avslutas med en rund fotplatta.

Anders Fredrik Carlsson föddes 1835 på ett torp under Vänersnäs gård, Vänersnäs socken i Västergötland. I unga år kom han i skomakarlära i Vänersborg och vann där burskap som skomakarmästare 1862. Han bedrev på 1860-talet hantverket i stor skala med inriktning på barnskor. År 1873 införskaffade han en specialmaskin för tillverkningen och blev därigenom grundare till Sveriges första skofabrik. År 1883 inköpte han fastighet i hörnet Sunds- och Kyrkogatan i Vänersborg där han utvecklade tillverkningen. Verksamheten växte och han inköpte därför år 1890 ett område öster om staden, på den Rengmanska lyckan, där han uppförde en ny fabriksbyggnad. Under 1890-talet blev A.F. Carlssons Skofabrik en av de modernaste och ledande i Norden. Efter A. F. Carlssons död tog sönerna Carl-Otto och Gustaf Carlsson över. Sonen Gunnar Carlsson (1876-1953) var hemmansägare i Ramnered i Vassända-Naglum socken. Gunars son Carl-Gustaf Carlsson (1909-1997) kom senare att ta över som fabrikör. A. F. Carlsons Skofabrik var under en lång följd av år Vänersborgs största arbetsgivare. På grund av konkurrens från billigare exportskor kom fabriken att läggas ner 1969.
Gåvan överlämnades av Rut Carlsson, Vänersborg och Uppsala, som är änka efter Carl Gustaf Carlsson.
