1892 är ett viktigt år i Sibbhults industriella historia. Detta år startades på Anders.B. Nilssons initiativ ett glasbruk på Feleberga mark. En fabriksbyggnad 90x52x14 fot, stommen av trä under plåttak, inredd till hytta, sliperi, verkstad m.m. uppfördes. Robert Rentsch, som var av tysk börd utsågs att leda arbetet.
För de glasblåsare och slipare som anställdes uppfördes 4 st. boningshus. Det största av dem låg på en kulle och fick på grund av sin storlek namnet "slottet". Slottet uppfördes i första hand för tyska glasarbetare och blev sedan disponentbostad.
År 1897 hade glasbruket 57 anställda och framställde detta år 100 ton färdigt glas. Det var mest lampskärmar, s.k. tulpankupor, klotkupor, gaskupor samt oljehus som tillverkades vid detta glasbruk.
Glasbruket lades ner 1900, men då hade ett nytt glasbruk startat på Sibbhultsgårdens mark under namnet Färeköps glasbruk och nu var industrin fast etablerad i Sibbhult. Färe eller Färeköps glasbruk blev det glasbruk som verkade längst i Sibbhult. Det blev välkänt för sina kristallprodukter som var av hög klass. Vid Baltiska utställningen 1914 i Malmö, fick Färe glasbruk ett klart erkännande för sin kvalitet och sin formgivning. Glasbruket tillverkade kristallglas, konservglas och mjölkflaskor. Glasbruket sysselsatte upp mot 200 personer. På grund härav byggdes bostäder och bygatan med sina brukshus tillkom. Men även detta glasbruk lades ner, sista gången 1927.
