Malmö Yacht Klubb (M.Y.K) bildades i 1921 genom en sammanslagning av Malmö Segel Sällskap (MSS) och K.S.S.S. Malmöavdelning. Klubben hade station vid Hamnpaviljonen vid infarten till Malmö Hamn. Klubben verkade fram till 1939 dels ensam - dels tidvis i samarbete med MSS - denna klubb ingick i MYK i 1939
Största sportsliga framgång var bronsmedalj vid Olympiska Spelen i Los Angeles 1932 i Starbåt genom Gunnar Aster.
Efter andra världskriget blev hamnen för liten och blev pressad av pågående hamnbyggen. En utflyttning till Limhamn påbörjades redan under krigsåren - och hamnen vid Hamnpaviljongen lades slutgiltigt ner 1959.
