"Cykelväg från Kållered till göteborgsgränsen
Till alla cykelentusiasters fromma har nu arbetet på GCM-vägen (gång-cykel-moped) mellan Rävekärr och Kållered kommit igång.
Överingenjör Andres Kutti vid Mölndals Gatukontor upplyser till Mölndals-Posten att sträckningen Rävekärr - nya Torrekullamotet skall vara klar i slutet på maj. Sträckan Torrekullamotet-Kållered centrum dröjer ännu någon tid. Det hela beror på marklösen på den aktuella sträckan.
Vägen blir tre meter bred och skall följa järnvägen från Rävekärr till avtagsvägen till Torrekulla turiststation i början av industriområdet i Kållered.
När GCM-vägen till Kållered är färdigbyggd skulle man kommande sommar utan några större hinder kunna ta sig på GCM-väg från Kållered till kommungränsen i Högsbo.
Överingenjör Kutti rekommenderar att man från Brännås kör tunneln under motorvägen, sedan Nedanvägsgatan - Idrottsvägen - Bifrostgatan fram till den befintliga GCM-vägen som byggdes för åtskilliga år sedan längs Frölundagatan till Göteborgs-gränsen.
Törs vi spå att många är kommunen tacksamma för denna nya sträckan och att den kommer till att bli flitigt använd av cyklister, joggare, mopedister och som promenadstråk."
Kållereds Hembygdsgille bildades 1977 som en hembygdsförening för Kållereds socken (församling).
År 2013 år byttes namn till Kållereds Hembygdsförening.
Syftet är att tillvarata/samla in minnen, föremål och annat som belyser Kållereds historia. Även att genom program och annat skapa gemenskap/mötesplatser i Kållered. Föreningen har en hembygdsgård i Långåker, belägen i västra Kållered.
