Bildtext: Views in the Holy Land Hebron. Northern half of the city. The approach to Hebron from the orth is striking and very beatiful. The valley is well watered and very fertile, and the sides of the hills are covered with viney yards and olive plantations. the trees in the foregrond of this picture are olives. the neighbourhood abounds with rich pasture land, and large herds cattle. The houses are substantatielly bulit of stone, and have, mostly, domes upon their roofs. the people seem comfortable and well to do. several bazaars, well stocked with foreign and native manufactures, present apleasing feature in this city. David reigned here seven and a half years.
