Skedemosse är en numera utdikad mosse i Gärdslösa socken på Öland som är fyndplatsen för Sveriges största ansamling av vapenoffer.
Utgrävningar skedde mellan 1959 och 1962 under ledning av Ulf Erik Hagberg, och tog fart 1960 när lantbrukaren Birger Karlsson som vid igentäckning av ett dike påträffade ett smycke.
Uttorkningen av mossen hade lett till att vapnen hade rostat sönder och att metallen var så utlakad att en metalldetektor inte gav utslag. Vid tiden för offren var mossen en igenväxande sjö och föremålen är troligen offrade från en båt, då inga spår av bryggor har hittats. Spjut och lansspetsar är det vanligaste vapenfyndet. Förutom vapen har en stor mängd djurben hittats, den största mängden djurben kommer från häst. Skinn och huvuden från hästar tycks ha ingått i särskilda ritualer. Även cirka 30 människooffer av både barn och vuxna har hittats i Skedemosse. C14-analyser av ben har visat att de äldsta offren är från förromersk järnålder och de yngsta från sen vikingatid. Bland övriga fynd kan nämnas sju guldringar som sammanlagt hade en vikt av 1,3 kg.
Flera boplatser och gravfält kring Skedemosse grävdes också ut, vilket gav en bild av ett folkrikt och välmående samhälle under romersk järnålder.
Ulf Erik Hagberg, född i Borås 30 september 1932, död 2012, var en svensk arkeolog och museiman.
Efter studier vid Uppsala universitet arbetade Hagberg vid Riksantikvarieämbetet, dels i Stockholm, dels på dess Ölandskontor. På Öland ledde han utgrävningarna av offerplatsen i Skedemosse i början av 1960-talet. Här fann man stora mängder offrade vapen och djurkroppar, samt den så kallade Skedemosseskatten, en stor guldskatt. Hagberg disputerade 1968 på avhandlingen Skedemosse: studier i ett öländskt offerfynd från järnåldern.
Åren 1977–88 var Hagberg landsantikvarie och chef för Västergötlands museum i Skara. Under hans tid där fann man de spektakulära Fröslundasköldarna. Från 1988 till pensioneringen 1997 var Hagberg chef för Statens Historiska Museum. Under denna tid anlade man museets guldrum, där bland annat skatten från Skedemosse visas tillsammans med andra svenska fynd av ädelmetall. Efter sin pensionering arbetade Hagberg i två år som sekreterare i Kungliga Vitterhetsakademien. Han ledde även utgrävningar i den av Akademien ägda fornborgen Gråborg på Öland.
Hagberg tilldelades Gösta Berg-medaljen 1998. Han var ledamot av Kungl. Gustav Adolfs Akademien och Kungl. Vitterhets Historie och Antikvitets Akademien.
