Charmigt att Slottsbiografen (Nedre Slottsgatan 6) var den första bio som Ingmar Bergman i barndomen besökte, med sin i Uppsala boende mormor. Biografen, invigd redan i stumfilmens dagar den 26 oktober 1914, hade cirka 290 stolar. Antalet är i moderna tider minskat till bara 130. Som lite kuriosa föddes faktiskt Hollywood-stjärnan Viveca Lindfors där i huset år 1920.
