- Under fyra dagar i september år 2002 genomfördes en arkeologisk forskningsundersökning inom lämningarna för den så kallade Hertig Carlhyttan, RAÄ 99 i Bergshammars socken. Glashyttan som omnämns i skriftliga källmaterial från 1580-talet, upptäcktes av hembygdsföreningen år 2000 och forskningsundersökningen omfattade en begränsad inventering, samt rensning och dokumentation av de schakt/gropar som tagits upp år 2000. Lämningarna av glashyttan omfattade ett ugnskomplex bestående av två ugnar och ett kulturlager.
