Konstnären David Lundberg, född 2 juni 1895 i Hälleviksstrand, död 18 januari 1970 i Vänersborg.
Han flyttade till Vänersborg under mitten av 1920-talet och var verksam där under större delen av sin levnad.
Föräldrar: Disponenten/handlanden/fiskaren/fiskeexportören Lars Gideon Lundberg (1865 - 1950) och moder Augusta Charlotta Sundberg, (1870-1900). De var bosatta i Hälleviksstrand, Bohuslän.
Hustru Anna Hedvig Lundberg, född Jonsson 1904, i Håvesten, Ödeborg, Dalsland, död 8 september 1970 i Vänersborg. Alla fyra är begravda i familjegraven på Morlanda kyrkogård, Orust.
David Lundberg och hustrun Anna var barnlösa och satte Uddevalla museum som universalarvinge, framför allt av hans konstnärliga kvarlåtenskap.
Studier: David Lundberg studerade vid slöjdföreningens skola i Göteborg 1921. Efter skolstudier under enskilda konstnärers ledning, samt studieresor i utlandet. Haft utställningar i Stockholm, Göteborg med flera svenska städer och samhällen samt på Island. David Lundberg har varit representerad på Nationalmuseum [inga verk funna vid sökning i mars 2018 - inte i Moderna museets samlingar heller], Reykjaviks museum, Bohusläns museum, Bildtska museet Orust med flera och på konstgallerier och samlingar inom- och utomlands. Han hade ateljé i Vänersborg och hus i Hällevikstrand.

Några av hans verk är Morlandaren, Myren, Fiskaren Olof Lundgren, Fiskarstugor, Soldis, Ulltvätt vid Isländsk bondgård, Höstplöjning, En drömnatt på havet vid sagornas ö. Källa: Urklippsbok från 1932. En målare i "lilla Paris".
David Lundberg har prövat på mycket annat. Han har varit sjöman, handelsresande med mera samt haft ett brinnande intresse för resor i olika länder och dess folk, bland annat Island och Färöarna, vilka han ingående studerat under två somrar i rad. Har även gjort sig känd som allmogespelman då musik var ett stort intresse. David Lundberg skrev Orustpolka och Hälleviksstrandsvalsen samt var engagerad i Bohusläns gille som startade 1949. Andra intressen var skytte och naturforskning. Han drev frågan om fridlysning av ett pilträd nära sitt hus i Hälleviksstrand.
Makarna var starkt engagerade i nykterhetsrörelsen.
Utdrag ur makarnas testamente: "Efter bådas vår död skall all då kvarvarande egendom överlämnas till Uddevalla museum och Konstmuseum. Om vårt hus N:o 41 i Hälleviksstrand, vid senaste makens (makas) död då finnes kvar i dennes ägo önskar och förordar vi att museet i samband med Morlanda Hembygdsförening ordnar att i ovannämnda hus upprättas en minnesgård. Huset önskar vi skall kallas David Lundbergs Minnesgård."
