”Tanken på dessa modellscenerier kom när jag byggt en JA 37, som jag fått i julklapp. Det såg så fattigt ut med den ensamma modellen. Eftersom jag jobbade på F 16 flygverkstad med bl a teletest av Viggen, så tänkte jag att det kunde bli ett modellscenario. Bygget blev ganska lyckat så det var bara att fortsätta med något nytt. Nästa steg blev G-tillsyn. Det var bara att ge sig ut i verkstaden med papper, penna och måttband för att mäta upp olika detaljer som stegar och bänkar. Jag kollade vilka luckor som var öppna på flygplanet, bortmonterade detaljer mm. Allt skalades ner till 1/48 och sedan började jag bygga. Det blev mycket sågande i modellen för alla luckor. De flesta detaljerna är gjorda av plast. Det finns plastflak, stänger, remsor och rör i olika dimensioner att köpa. Sedan behövs en smula fantasi. Några tekniker som servar flygplanet gör det mer verkligt. Figurerna är amerikansk militär markpersonal som med lite filning, spackel, putsning och målning blev till grabbarna på verkstaden. Alla vi tekniker på verkstaden var civilanställda.”
