Inkom tillsammans med ytterligare två stycken bahytter (hattar) daterade till cirka 1840-tal. Bahytterna påträffades på vinden på Ekolsunds slott och de tillvaratogs av slottets tidigare ägare och givarens vän Veronica Kempe-Björling. Hattarna kommer sannolikt från en garderob som tillhört en dam i familjen Seton/Adlercreutz (ägarfamilj mellan 1785-1912).
Ekolsunds slott köptes av Veronicas far direktör Carl Kempe 1917. Åren 1928-1930 restaurerade och moderniserade han södra slottet till bostad åt sin familj efter ritningar av arkitekten Vilhelm Bryde.
Jonas Wallin fick hattarna efter Veronica Björlings bortgång.
