Skoglund & Olson AB:
Tredje Tvärgatan 3, känt för bland annat järnspisar och leksaker. Företaget startades 1874 av Erik Gustaf Skoglund och Axel Olson. Den senare arbetade som konstruktör, ritare, bokhållare och administratör. Firman blev aktiebolag 1914 och hade på 1930-talet cirka 260 anställda i produktionen och ett 30-tal på kontoret.
Skoglund & Olson såldes 1951 till AB Ekströms Maskinaffär, som övertogs av Husqvarnakoncernen 1966.
Företaget hade en bred verksamhet; där fanns gjuteri, mekanisk verkstad, plåtslageri och förnicklingsverk.
Senare tillverkades värmepannor, kakelugnsinsatser, pumpar och - i en fabrik som startades 1953 i Strömsbro - elektriska värmepatroner och värmerör som blev en viktig exportprodukt. Varumärket för dessa produkter var ABSO.
Skoglund & Olsons sista smälta tappades 10 november 1967, gjuteriet såldes 1968 och verksamheten lades ner 1970. Dess spisar köps och säljs ännu på andrahandsmarknaden.
