Pärlkrans, dekoration på kista vid begravning, från Aneby, Jönköpings län. Kransen är funnen upphängd på vinden i en villa från 1904, och skyddades av en tidning daterad 4 februari 1921.
Seden med begravningsprydnader beskrevs i ett brev 1922 från A. S. Sjögren i Långaryds socken till Länsmuseets grundare Algot Friberg: "Förr brukade man upphänga på väggarna i kyrkan, i sakristian och i vapenhhuset kransar öfver både unga och gamla gjorda af pappersblommor med grafskrift i midten. Numera är detta bruk borttaget. Man lägger nu perl- och metallkransar på grafven. Det är slägten till den döde, som gör detta. Om vintern tagas de hem till sorghuset och upphängas på väggarna i rummen. Om våren tagas de ned och lägges åter på grafen under sommaren. Så gör man härmed år efter år."
Kransar av levande blommor blev inte vanliga förrän på 1900-talet.
