Bonaderna UM43293-UM43295 har med största sannolikhet tillhört givarens farföräldrar som bodde på gården Norrgården i Ovanby, Upplands-Ekeby, Alunda. Gården är fortfarande i familjens ägo, idag bebodd av givarens bror.
Bonaderna är tillverkade under tidigt 1900-tal och föreställer högtider: jul med dansade människor och en spelman, dans kring midsommarstång och färden till julottan. På bonaderna är människorna klädda i olika folkdräkter, vilka har en anknytning till olika delar av Sverige.
Bonaderna (eller gobelinduk) kan vara köpta på postorder via Åhlen & Holm. Gobelängdukar är benämningen som användes i början av 1900-talet. De användes som dukar, bonader och kuddar. Se t.ex. Åhlén & Holms katalog 1909.
