Brännvinssked - kan också kallas supsked, bondsked, knoppsked, änglasked.
Att supa betyder egentligen från början att intaga flytande föda med sked. I äldre tider var det vanligt, att högreståndspersoner fr o m 1500-talet drack brännvin med en speciell sked av ålderdomlig typ, ofta av silver eller ben, med runt skedblad och kort rakt skaft, som avslutades med en dekorativt utformad knopp. Brännvinsskeden doppades i en gemensam skål, vid gillen ofta fylld med sirapsbrännvin. Det påstås dock, att karlarna med tiden föredrog rent brännvin, som de drack ur tumlare, kalkar eller små bägare.
