Hösten 2013 undersöktes fornlämningarna 62 samt delar av 127 och 227 i Danmarks socken. Fornlämningarna 62 och 127 utgör delar av ett större sammanhängande gravfält. Danmark 227, cirka 300 meter mot söder, tolkas som ett annat, fristående gravfält tillhörande en bebyggelseenhet på Säby.
I den sydöstra kanten av Danmark 62 och 127 undersöktes en 18,5 meter stor och 3 meter hög gravhög från sent 500-tal. Begravningen visar på stor rikedom. Den gravlagde hade fått med sig djur och rovgåglar, flera förgyllda föremål med infattade granater (hjälm, svärd, sköld samt hästutrustning), glas, keramik, spelbrickor i valben m.m.
Från perioden 700-1000 e.Kr. undersöktes fyra brandgravar. Under 900-talet och fram till början av 1200-talet begravdes 28 individer inom de undersökta ytorna av Danmark 63 och 127. Gravskicket har synliga kristna influenser. Under 1100-talet begravdes även sju individer inom Danmark 227. Gravskicket är varierat, kropparnas placering och riktning är inte enhälliga. Det förekommer begravningar i kista och utan. Från 1100- eller 1200-talet dokumenterades en udda begravning där den döde förmodligen kremerats nere i en kroppsstor grop tillsammans med djur och föremål.
