Ada Stridlund 1899–1959 Bygdefotograf mellan 1921–1926 på Alnö och resenär
Ada kommer till världen i Ramsele, Jämtland, 1899. Hennes föräldrar Brita och Jonas lever ett kringflackande liv. Jonas är fotograf och familjen med fem barn flyttar ofta. Som 17-åring fortsätter Ada att flytta till olika orter där arbete finns. Som 21-åring börjar Ada som biträde hos en fotograf i Rättvik och året efter flyttar hon till Alnö och öppnar en egen ateljé med titeln fotograf. Huset byggs ut med många stora fönster för maximalt ljusinsläpp vilket behövs vid framkallningen och fotograferingen. Ada beställer färdigpreparerade glasplåtar via postorder och köper kemikalier från närmsta apotek. Hon tar emot i ateljén och åker ut i byarna på Alnö för att fotografera. Hon tar klassfotografier, arbetsplatsbilder, gruppbilder från olika kursverksamheter och fackföreningsmöten men dokumenterar också roliga och skämtsamma händelserna från Alnö.
1926 emigrerar Ada till Chicago, USA där hon gifter sig med svensken Axel Borgström. De blir kvar i USA under elva år innan de är tillbaka i Sverige. Först till Kristianstad och sedan till Vi, Alnö.
