Fotograf Carolina Josefina, (Josephine) Rydholm, (1827 – 1880)
Josefina Rydholm övertog 1 oktober 1860 sin bror Svante Leonard Rydholms fotoateljé på Södra Drottninggatan 13 som var den första fasta fotoateljén i Uddevalla, öppnad 26 juli samma år. Josefina Rydholm tillkännagav i en annons i Bohus Läns Tidning att C. J. Rydholm öppnat ”Photografisk Atelier”. Hon var då 33 år.
Josefina Rydholm blev en skicklig fotograf och bedrev sin rörelse i nära tjugo år till sin död i april 1880. Hennes sterbhus fortsatte verksamheten något år med oförändrad firma och med fotograf Maria Lundbäck som föreståndare.
Syskonen var barn till instrumentmakaren, paraplymakaren och glasmästaren Anders Rydholm och Stina Cajsa Borsett på Söder i Uddevalla.
Svante Leonard Rydholm (1821 - 1895) flyttade till Linköping och öppnade fotoateljé där. En yngre bror var Axel Wilhelm Rydholm, (1837 – 1909), känd handlande i Uddevalla, donator och grundare av segelsällskapet Viken, SS Viken.
I Bohusläns museums samlingar ingår drygt 300 objekt under olika accessionsnummer, licensierade under Public Domain.
