Nyttokonst på Södergatan 38 i Uddevalla invigde sina nya utvidgade utställningslokaler med en utställning av Kurt Dejmo i september 1960. Kurt Dejmo hade valt att visa de senaste årens arbeten på Tjörn - klipplandskap, träd- och djurstudier utförda i olja, tusch och foto enligt tidningen Bohusläningen.
Vidare saxat ur Bohusläningen den 24 september 1960:
Lokalerna är förlagda en trappa upp i Nyttokonsts hus, där man förut hade lagerlokaler, och sammanlagda golvytan i expolokalens fyra rum är över hundra kvadratmeter med bra, hela väggytor. Ett 60-tal arbeten kommer att ingå i utställningen.
- Det här har jag drömt om att kunna förverkliga i tio år, säger konstfrämjaren Gösta Jansson på Nyttokonst. Inte förrän nu har det blivit möjligt. Nu har vi koncentrerat den permanenta visningen av konsthantverk och måleri m.m. till de nedre lokalerna, där det förut var tillfälliga utställningar. Häruppe blir det ett höstprogram med följande utställare: Dejmo, Rune Persson från Timrå, fru Caje Huss i Uddevalla samt julsalongen för ortens konstnärer, som alltid är lika populär. I fjol var det t.ex. 500 personer på julsalongen redan öppningsdagen.

Fotograf Arne Andersson (1916–1993)
Arne Andersson fotograferade under hela sitt liv. Sina första lärospån fick han i faderns ateljé i Hunnebostrand. Han arbetade under några år i Göteborg, bl. a som kryssningsfotograf på Svenska Amerika Liniens fartyg M/S Gripsholm och M/S Kungsholm.
Arne Andersson flyttade till Uddevalla på 1930-talet. 1938 övertog han Södergrens fotomagasin i Bohusläningens hus på Södra Drottninggatan i Uddevalla och Polyfoto i Grand hotells fastighet längre ner på samma gata. Redan då utförde han många uppdrag för Bohusläningen och året därpå knöts han som fast medarbetare, senare chefsfotograf till företaget.
Omkring 1948 övertog han fotograf David Almqvists ateljé på Kungsgatan 17 i Uddevalla, den ateljé som Almqvist i sin tur hade övertagit av fotograf Maria Lundbäck 1927. Arne Andersson fortsatte samtidigt att vara engagerad i Bohusläningen och kom att arbeta på tidningen från 1938 fram till sin pensionering 1980.
Arne Andersson var genom åren också Uddevallavarvets fotograf och filmare. Han var alltid på plats vid sjösättningar och andra celebra evenemang. Mellan åren 1947-1986 gjorde han också filmer på beställning av Uddevallavarvet och i något fall av Uddevalla kommun.
Arne Andersson var en av stiftarna av Bohusläns fotograf- och fotohandlareförening och var dess ordförande och sekreterare under flera år, liksom ordförande i Fotohandlarföreningens västra krets och en tid tillhörde han riksförbundets styrelse.
Arne lärde upp många fotografer i Uddevalla under sin verksamma tid; Jens Karlheden, Knut Andersson, Gösta Axelsson, Lasse Edwards, Peo Nilsson, Håkan Berg, Bo Almroth m fl.
Arnes son, Lennart Forsberg, född 1951, utbildade sig också till fotograf och gick ut i en av de första kullarna på Fotoskolan i Göteborg.
Arne Anderssons far, Karl-Gustav Andersson (1879 – 1931) - känd som KG Andersson - var också fotograf och ägde fotoateljé i Skara med filial i Lidköping. Han flyttade till Skara 1909. Många av hans bilder finns på Västergötlands museum i Skara. Familjen med mamma Anna-Lisa och sönerna Rolf och Arne flyttade till Hunnebostrand 1928 och KG Andersson hade fotoverksamhet där. Efter KG Anderssons död 1931 flyttade Arne till Falkenberg och öppnade där ateljé. Modern Anna-Lisa flyttade till med sonen Rolf till Borås.

I Bohusläns museums samlingar ingår närmare 15 300 fotografier, främst reportagebilder, tagna i Uddevalla med omnejd mellan åren 1947–1990 samt drygt femtio filmer. Bildsamling är en gåva av Tidningen Bohusläningen 1989.
