Resteröds kyrka är byggd på 1100-talet. Helgedomen har kvar den ursprungliga triumfbågen mellan långhuset och koret, vilket är mycket ovanligt beträffande medeltidskyrkor. Predikstolen är från 1576 och utförd i renässansstil. Altartavla från 1681, är uppdelad i två fält med bilder av Moses till vänster och Kristus till höger. Kyrkan har intressanta takmålningar och målningar i läktarbarriären. En stor del av bänkinredningen är från 1700-talet. Särskilt intressant är bänk nr 5 på kvinnosidan. Orginalet till kyrkans dopfunt, som tillverkats av täljsten på 1100-talet, finns numera på Göteborgs museum. Sedan 1920 används en kopia som dopfunt i kyrkan. Under 1800-talet målades kyrkans interiör helt i vitt med undantag för altaruppsatsen, nummertavlan och timglaset. 1920 gjordes en större renovering, varvid bland annat predikstol återfick sin ursprungliga färger.
Kyrkklockan från 1663 är upphängd i en klockstapel.
Den nuvarande orgel är tillverkad 1963 av A. Magnussons orgelbyggeri.
