Uddevalla.
1814 uppförde stiftelsen det stora varmbadhuset, till det inre med en mittkorridor och utmed dennes sidor liggande badhytter och omklädningsrum, tillsammans sex sådana dubletter. Till en början panelades endast gaveln mot land. 1872-73 uppfördes den senare flygel med olika rum för kallvattenanläggning och pannrum.
I dag räknas Gustafsbergs som Sveriges första havsbadort. Dess försteg i tiden är inte så stort.En väsentlig skillnad ligger i att Gustafsberg förblev en badort som levde och utvecklades under 1800-talet till en funktionellt och arkitektoniskt differentierad miljö.
Gustafsberg var inte enbart sin betydelse som havsbadort utan även som barnhus med skola alltsedan 1770-talet. Dessutom har stället alltsedan 1700.talets början varit något av en brunnsort, med två mineralhaltiga källor på plats för nuvarande restaurangen.
