Fotografen Ingeborg Enander föddes i Ytterby, Kungälvs kommun i Bohuslän 1880. Efter att ha lärt sig fotografering i Trollhättan, Skövde och Borås, kom hon 1904 till Stenungsund.
De första åren hade hon filial i Lyckorna, en ateljé hon övertog efter fotograf Robert Lindahl. Efter 1907 koncentrerades verksamheten till Stenungsund sedan Enanders villa på Styrmansvägen 6 blivit byggd. Villan var en av det dåtida Stenungsunds pampigaste och var mycket funktionell med ateljén inrymd i en glasad veranda.
Ingeborg Maria Enander var en av fotografikonstens pionjärer i Bohuslän. Spännviden i hennes bilder är stor; från badliv kring sekelskiftet, byggande av Bohusbanan och fram till industrialiseringen i slutet av 1950-talet. Hon försörjde sig främst på porträttfotografering och var verksam mellan 1904 och 1967.
När Ingeborg Enander slutat sitt yrkesverksamma liv, donerade hon 1971 sin fotosamling inklusive kameror och övrig utrustning, till Uddevalla museum, se UM71.22.001 - UM71.22.022.

Fotograf Thure Nihlén var född i Landskrona den 11 december 1877. Efter läroverksstudier började han sin fotografutbildning, som även innefattade yrkespraktik i Tyskland och England.
1906, vid 29 års ålder köpte han sin ateljé i Uddevalla på Södra Drottninggatan 13. Säljare var fotograf A. Hansson, som nu flyttade till Göteborg.
Thure Nihlén verkade som fotograf i Uddevalla i hela 43 år, fram till 1949 då han av åldersskäl slutade. Otaliga är de bilder som Nihlén tagit och vad det gäller gatu- och miljöbilder från Uddevalla.
Även socknarna runt om Uddevalla fick besök av Nihlén vid skolavslutningar, konfirmationer och liknande händelser. Hans transportmedel vid dessa färder var en stor, brungul motorcykel med sidvagn av märket Harley Davidson.
Thure Nihlén avled den 4 juni 1958 och är begravd på Ramneröds kyrkogård i Uddevalla.
Gösta Biselius skänkte glasplåtar och kameror m.m. till Uddevalla museum 1968. Därefter har ytterligare en handfull fotografier inkommit från olika givare.
