Fotografierna är tagna av fotograf Ingeborg Enander och föreställer Villa Solbacka på Stenungsön i Norums socken.
Flertalet av de 66 bilderna föreställer Villa Solbackas exteriör eller interiör eller omgivning. De bilder som har de andra byggnaderna som motiv betecknats Lillstugan, Dalahärbret respektive Röda stugan.
Villan beboddes sommartid av Lennart Aspegren och hans föräldrar konsul Ivar Aspegrén och konsulinnan Suleika Aspegrén. Lennar Aspegren föddes i huset år 1931 och fadern dog där 1946. Familjen sålde stället på 1950-talet.
Den dåvarande tomten, som omfattade drygt 6 hektar, sträckte sig utmed stranden runt Stenungsöns nordvästra spets, mellan Kullgrens/Bräutigams tomt och Jungfruviken.
Tomten bestod av tre fastigheter:
dels Stenungsön 1:13 (Solbacka nr 2) med en trädgård, bostadshuset Villa Solbacka (tre plan), gästhuset Lillstugan (i regel uthyrt) och ett dalahärbre ;
dels Stenungsön 1:64 (Solbacka nr 1) med en park och en badplats vid skäret Hundholmen;
dels Stenungsön 1:218 (Marocko), avstyckad 1951, dit härbret då flyttades.
I egendomen ingick också fastigheten Stenungsön 1:131, omfattande cirka 0,7 hektar. Där fanns Handelsträdgården Röda stugan och två mindre bostadshus.
Villan finns kvar men det gamla möblemanget och den övriga originalinredningen är ersatt av en ny inredning i en annan stil. Det är i sitt förändrade skick som huset presenteras i boken Sommarnöjen vid vattnet av Ann Katrin Pihl Atmer, 2001. Lite överraskande kallas där den helt ommöblerade och renoverade matsalen för "riddarsalen".
På norra Stenungsön bodde på 1930- och 1940-talen sommartid också den kände operachefen John Forsell och hans stora familj. De umgicks livligt med familjen och alla våra gäster från sångarvärlden, Martin Öhman, Zarah Leander, Karl Gerhard, Brita Herzberg, Jussi Björling och många andra.

Fotografen Ingeborg Enander föddes i Ytterby, Kungälvs kommun i Bohuslän 1880. Efter att ha lärt sig fotografering i Trollhättan, Skövde och Borås, kom hon 1904 till Stenungsund.
De första åren hade hon filial i Lyckorna, en ateljé hon övertog efter fotograf Robert Lindahl. Efter 1907 koncentrerades verksamheten till Stenungsund sedan Enanders villa på Styrmansvägen 6 blivit byggd. Villan var en av det dåtida Stenungsunds pampigaste och var mycket funktionell med ateljén inrymd i en glasad veranda.
Ingeborg Maria Enander var en av fotografikonstens pionjärer i Bohuslän. Spännviden i hennes bilder är stor; från badliv kring sekelskiftet, byggande av Bohusbanan och fram till industrialiseringen i slutet av 1950-talet. Hon försörjde sig främst på porträttfotografering och var verksam mellan 1904 och 1967.
När Ingeborg Enander slutat sitt yrkesverksamma liv, donerade hon 1971 sin fotosamling inklusive kameror och övrig utrustning, till Uddevalla museum, se UM71.22.001 - UM71.22.022.
