Fotografierna ingår i fältarbetet till den tredje delen - båtbyggeriet - inom projektet Bohusläns samhälls- och näringsliv i samverkan mellan Bohusläns museum och Etnologiska institutionen, Göteborgs universitet.
Rapporten behandlar båtbyggeriet i Bohuslän och de strukturförändringar som basnäringen genomgått under 1900-talet och hur dessa förändrat människors livsvillkor ekonomiskt, socialt och kulturellt.
