För att lindra verkningen av Tändsticksfabrikens nedläggning och den därav uppkommna stora arbetslösheten lyckades stadens styrande att få HSB att lokalisera en trähusfabrik hit. 1939 började Junohusfabriken sin verksamhet vid Anegrund i södra hamnen.
De första tillverkade husen var avsedda för export till Skottland, men kriget gjorde att båtarna kapades av tyskarna ute på Nordsjön.
Trolig fotograf: David Almqvist, som övertog Maria Lundbäcks ateljé 1927.

David Almkvist övertog 1927 Maria Lundbäcks fotoateljé i Uddevalla. Firman hette ”Fotograf Almquist, Maria Lundbäcks Eftr., Uddevalla”.
Se affärsskylten på fotografi UMFA54477:0690 från 1931.
1941 flyttade ateljén till Kungsgatan 17.
