Arkitekter för Hotell Lysekil var Sture Frölén (1907-1999) och Nils Sterner (1904-1990), båda främst verksamma i Stockholmsområdet.
Väggdekoren är bildsviten "Staden och havet" komponerad av Ulla Mörck och Niels-Henry Mörck (1923-2012), Göteborg, för Hotell Lysekil på 1950-talets början. Från vänster: "Industrin", "Gamla staden", "Kyrkan", "Fisket" och den femte vävnadens titel är okänd. En mindre väv med Lysekils stadsvapen är inte synlig på bilden.
Vävnaderna utförda av, förutom Ulla och Niels-Henry Mörck, S. (Selma) Johansson (1889-1954), E. Borg och H. (eventuellt Hilda) Streiffert.
På 2000-talet finns konstverket i Lysekils kommuns ägo och konserverades år 2007. Fyra av vävnaderna fanns år 2010 upphängda i ett sammanträdesrum i kommunens lokaler.

Fotograf Alvar Clevfors. Född 1909 – död 1979.
Alvar Clevfors ägde fotoaffären Lysekils Fotografiska Magasin "Lyfoma".
I Bohusläns museums samlingar finns drygt 2 700 bilder av Alvar Clevfors. Motiven är från olika fotografiska uppdrag, bl.a. för olika företag på orten.
Motiven är huvudsakligen från Lysekil åren 1938 – 1965.
Fotografierna är förtecknade och sökbara under accessionsnummer UMFA54484:0001 - 2722.
