Sven Lovén (1809-1895)
Sven Lovén var professor och intendent vid Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet i Stockholm,
avdelningen för evertebrater. Här arbetade han fram till 1892. Han forskade på marina evertebrater, alltså ryggradslösa havsdjur. Hans allra första forskningsresa hade gått längs svenska västkusten. Hit kom han tillbaka 1877 för att grunda Kristinebergs Marina Forskningsstation i Fiskebäckskil. Han studerade då framför allt sjöborrar.
Sven Lovén publicerade en mängd skrifter och var medlem av Vetenskapsakademien.
Sven Lovén förmedlade fåglar från Naturhistoriska riksmuseet till Uddevalla museum och var ett känt namn när konservatrisen Carolina Christiansson började sin tjänst på Uddevalla museum 1864
