Den här curlingstenen har troligen tillverkats av Granitaktiebolaget C A Kullgrens Enka för Bohuslänska Curlingklubben. Men det visade sig att den bohuslänska graniten inte var elastisk nog för att klara de hårda stötarna stenarna emellan!
Den enda sten som håller kommer från en granitklippa utanför staden Ayr i Skottland.
15 mars 2001: Kontaktade Folke Söderqvist, född 1914, inför uppgifter om curling till tidskriften Populär historia. Han berättade, att han hittat curlingstenen i ett skjul på en innergård i kvarteret Krummedike, Östergatan/Kungsgatan, Uddevalla.
Vidare mindes han hur han som liten sett herrarna Macfie och Thorburn spelande curling på Bäveåns is vid Järnbron i Uddevalla.
