Mast till klinkbyggd 14 fots eka, (UM15683) Orusteka, rundbottnad, också kallad lurja.
Byggd på Stora Askerön Norums socken i Bohuslän av Carl Mattsson (1844 - 1937).
Givaren skriver: "Det är han [Carl] som byggt ekan sen han slutat på sjön, slutet av 1800-talet eller början på 1900-talet. Det var min fader Christian Mattsson och brodern Carl som byggde både ekor, jullar och vesingar."
Ekan är uppmätt i juni 1983 av Staffan Claesson och Peter Skanse och presenteras på s. 108 – 109 i boken Båtar i Bohuslän, del 1 med följande text:
"Bröderna Carl och Conrad Mattsson sysslade med båtbyggeri. Till en början arbetade man tillsammans med byggandet av ekor, jullar och vässingar. Senare kom Carl att arbeta i huvudsak ensam. Någon yngre fick dock hjälpa till och hålla mot vid nitning och nagling, samt vid en del andra arbetsmoment som krävde att man var två. Ekorna byggdes i det lilla byggeskjulet alldeles intill boningshuset.
Virket fick man oftast från Ucklum. Stockarna bogserades hem efter ekan till stranden i Flundrevik på östra sidan av ön. Här sågades furuvirket upp till entums bordläggningsbrädor. Dessa hyvlades sedan för hand med oxhyvel och blev alltså omkring sjuåttondels tum när de var klara att användas. Sågningen skedde med långsåg på ett såglag. Senare köptes virket färdigsågat från Vassereöd.
Den uppmätta ekan är byggd med ek i kölbord, stråkköl, akterstäv, rangårdslister och laskbrickor, furu av hög kvalité i bordläggningen, gran i ässingar och spant och slutligen ene i naglarna. Skrovet, som nu är lackat såväl in- som utvändigt, har tidigare varit struket med fintjära.
Spriseglet är av linneduk. Enligt muntlig uppgift har linet såväl odlats som beretts på Stora Askerön. En kvinna i ett av grannhusen har vävt duken och sytt seglet. Övergången till att sy segel av köpt bomullsduk skedde här först några år in på 1900-talet. Ekan är i det närmaste helt oförändrad sedan sekelskiftet. Endast segeltoften och skockorna är utbytta."

Följande beskrivning är hämtad ur Wilhelm Ängermarks hemsida om Askeröarna, avsnittet Om orden 'andöva' och 'lûrja':
"Lurja" (lûrja) är namnet på en vanlig roddbåt, som också kallas "eka" (ega). Det är en vanlig roddbåt som kan ros av en eller två personer. Den har i stället för stäv en platt för och är försedd med platt akter (raga) med vrickehål, eller som en båtbyggare på Orust sa: "E ega har raga både fram å bag". På kusten runt Stora och Lilla Askerön och angränsande vatten använde invånarna, de bofasta, aldrig ordet "eka eller ega" om denna båttyp. Detta ord ansågs förnämt och användes endast av "badgäster". Om man frågar befolkningen i Svanesund så är det känt, men kommer man längre norrut visar det sig att ordet "lurja" ersätts så småningom av "ega". Hembygdsforskaren Herbert Christensson i Brandseröd i Ljungs sn berättade att "de gamle kalla ega så". Söderut förekommer ordet kanske i norra delen av Hakefjorden och västerut i norra delen av Stigfjorden. Erik Johansson på Råssön (född 1908) använde ordet men sade att det var vanligare förr."
