Åke Seinknecht, f. 20 augusti 1908 i Uddevalla d. 4 mars 1991 i Uddevalla, arbetade som köpman och innehade speceriaffär vid Port Arthur i Uddevalla. Han ägnade sig under övrig tid åt ljudinspelningar och radioteknik. Åke och brodern Bo öddes på gården Utby Sörgård i Hjärtum. Föräldrarna Fredrik Seinknecht och Maria Persson från Degerberga i Skåne arrenderade gården. År 1911 flyttar hela familjen till Uddevalla och fadern startar handelsfirman Fredrik Seinknecht, en speceriaffär i centrala Uddevalla.
Åke Seinknecht var aktiv inom Uddevalla Rundradio som startade 1920 och låg på Brattska ängen (kring nuvarande Brattgatan) i Uddevalla. Han dels förvärvade dels byggde själv en omfattande uppsättning av avancerad apparatur för såväl inspelning som uppspelning. Han spelade in bl.a. revyer i Uddevalla av och med Tore Uttman och av och med Hagge Geigert samt även andra revyer och program, t.ex barnrevy på Gustafsberg i Uddevalla 1944. Seinknecht spelade även in fem grammofonskivor med regionmusikkåren i Uddevalla som gjordes i regementets gymnastiksal. Han spelade också in konserter i Uddevalla kyrka och program från radion, t.ex Tysklands intåg i Polen år 1939, samt Norges frihet och freden i maj 1945.
Åke Seinknecht tilldelades Uddevalla Kommuns Kulturpris 1975.

Åke Seinknecht skapade av sitt material ett stort ljudarkiv, som till stora delar förvaras på Bohusläns museum.
Åke Seinknechts bror Bo Seinknecht var fotograf. Bo Seinknechts efterlämnade fotosamling ingår i Bohusläns museums samlingar, se UMFA53418:1-807.
I Arkiv 132 Enskilda arkiv förvaras material efter bröderna Bo och Åke Seinknecht, Klippsamling, inspelningslistor, hela tidningar, brev, diplom, trycksaker, kassaböcker, bruksanvisningar för olika typer av radioutrustning.
