Fotografiet ingår i ett album tillverkat i Kalmar år 1903. Fotograf är Emil Blomberg, Kalmar.
Albumet har tillhört Amelie Anna Carolina Fagerlund (1848-1914), Kalmar. Hon var gift med Carl Adolf Johan Fagerlund (1842-1903) som var landshövding i Kalmar län 1889-1903. Han var även ordförande i Kalmar Fornminnesförening (nuvarande Kalmar läns museum).
Albumet köptes in 2020 av Auktionshuset Kolonn AB, Stockholm.
Enligt en notis i tidningen Barometern från 1903-09-30 överlämnades fotoalbumet till Amelie Fagerlund som en avskeds- och minnesgåva från stadens damer i samband med att fru Fagerlund, efter hennes makes bortgång, flyttade från Kalmar till Stockholm. I notisen kan vi läsa att Blomberg är fotograf, att albumet förfärdigades av fröken Hildur Bökelund samt att hon även ritat förlagan till spännena som sedan juveleraren Johan Svensson utförde, inbindningen verkställdes av bokbindare Ekelundh. Tillsammans med albumet överlämnades till fru Fagerlund även ett för albumet avsett bord i empirestil.
