1960-talets plastobjekt:
Plastmaterialen invaderar klädmarknaden. OP-modet - vita plaststövlar och häftiga smycken i glada färger. Crimplene, akryl - tvätta och häng!
Man kan skicka efter en uppblåsbar PVC-plastsoffa från Josefssons postorder i Borås.
Engångsserviser och plastmattor är nytt.
Plasten håller på att bli för "plastig”. Den blir för många en symbol för dålig smak.
Nyhetens behag och den första plastyran är över. I slutet av årtiondet möts plasten av kritik.Exempel på föremål:
”Tefat” för åkning i snöiga backar.
Kakfatsunderlägg med "spetsmönster".
Barbie, docka med hel garderob.

- HistoryClaes Jansson var anställd som fotograf på Bohusläns museum under perioden 1988-01-11 – 2002-11-26. Därefter har han anlitats för olika fotografiska uppdrag, främst dokumentationer, av museet. Åren 2013 - 2016 har Claes Jansson arbetat med föremålsfotografering i museets samlingar.

Prylglad utställning om plastens mer än hundraåriga historia. Återse din barndoms bakelittelefon eller Barbiedocka. Lär känna plastens egenskaper, 1900-talets material som förändrat våra liv. Du kommer också att få reda på varför Bohuslän är Sveriges plastlän.
PLAST! Var namnet på ett projekt på Bohusläns museum åren 1995 - 1996 som förutom utställningar på museet och på Museimässan i Göteborg, även innehöll program, pedagogik med möjlighet till experiment, SNORP-utbildning och visningar. I Konsthallen visades konstnären Peter Johanssons byggen i avloppsrör av PVC-plast bland annat en knuttimrad friggebod mellan 2 mars - 14 april 1996.
Plast är ett material som finns med oss överallt i vardagen, och som på några årtionden har blivit så självklart att vi knappast lägger märke till det.
Bohusläns museum har gjort en utställning om plastföremålen omkring oss, för att vi skall se dem med nya ögon.
Plasten har faktiskt en mer än hundraårig historia, och i utställningen kan du följa materialet från 1860-talet fram till idag. Celluloidtomtar, majblommor, bakelittelefoner, radioapparater, tandborstar, nylonskjortor, String-hyllor, Barbiedockor, Swatchklockor, itera-cyklar, blodkärl i plast, mobiltelefoner, plastsedlar och mycket, mycket annat. Inget material kan ges så skiftande egenskaper som plast!
Bohuslän är Sveriges plastlän, kan man säga, genom att merparten av den svenska plastråvaran tillverkas i Stenungsund. Ortens petrokemiska industrikomplex saknar motsvarighet i landet. Men i nästa led, plastproduktindustrin, är Bohuslän inte stort, utom när det gäller båtar.
Utställningen ger exempel på gammal och ny plastproduktindustri. Vilka äldre uddevallabor minns inte AB Alpha, som spred sin bakelitlukt över stadens centrum?
