Ingen Äger Tiden är ett kreativt undersökande projekt mellan Örebro läns museum och studenter från Kungliga Konsthögskolan. Målet är att utveckla ett historiskt medvetande som är inkluderande.
De tjugotre konstnärerna utforskar och tolkar museets samlingar för att diskutera och ompröva historiska och samtida relationer mellan föremål, plats och gemenskap. Utställningen vill synliggöra och kommentera hur historia skrivs, hur den omvärderas och omformuleras beroende vem som använder sig av den. Vad betyder det att ingen äger tiden?
Johan Hegardt projektforskare vid Institutuionen för kultur och lärande vid Södertörns högskola arbetar med projektet Ingen äger tiden. Han beskriver utställningens arbetsprocess såhär:
"I en tid där nationell, regional, lokal och individuell identitet framhävs på bekostnad av samarbete, gemenskap och dialog är det kanske dags att undersökte vad vi kan åstadkomma tillsammans, men utan att ge upp den individuella kreativiteten. Skillnaden mellan text och ting har sedan länge tappat sin mening. Allt måste läsas och avkodas. Trots detta sker det sällan att vi som producerar text möter de som producerar ting. Än mer sällan försöker vi förena resultatet av textproduktionen med produktionen av ting. I projektet Ingen äger tiden har vi försökt oss på detta. Går det att utifrån en akademisk och teoretisk idé om ett historiemedvetande som är inkluderande skapa konst, är frågan. Det går. För min del har jag blivit tvingad att ge avkall på den skrivna textens fördelar och skydd för att i samspråk med konstnärerna i projektet söka mig fram. Vad kan jag säga och inte säga för att detta möte ska utveckla oss båda? Samtidigt har konstnärerna fått ge avkall på en av deras mest grundläggande friheter, nämligen att bestämma helt själva över sin produktion. Deras fråga blir, vad kan jag göra och inte göra inom ramarna för det här projektet. De har skapat konst av historia och har gjort detta i dialog med varandra, med mig och andra som har varit verksamma i projektet. Vi har alla fått ge upp något under resans gång. Ett historie-medvetande som är inkluderande kräver uppenbarligen att vi alla offrar något för att vi på så sätt ska nå fram till något nytt genom en form av integration. Men vad som är än mer spännande är att även historien och de historiska ting som förvaras i Örebro läns museum också har fått ge avkall på något, nämligen deras slutna arkivariska, antikvariska och historiska identitet. På så sätt har historien, liksom vi alla, samt arkivet och museet fått ge upp en del av den specifika och självhävdande identiteten, dock utan att vi har tvingats in under en hämmande kollektiv kraft."
