Ombyggnadsritningar för M/S Waxholm III 1992.
Rolf Carlsson var anställd på Baltic Marine Service i Nacka och ritade främst inredningsritningar till passagerarfartyg. Privat ägnade han sig åt modellbygge och gjorde då många ritningar av äldre fartyg som underlag för modellbygge.

Rolf var uppvuxen i Vagnhärad i Sörmland.
Efter färdig skolgång, 4-årig samrealskola i Gnesta, arbetade han som målarlärling.
Genom en morbrors kontakt fick han 1958 anställning på AB Finnboda Varf, där han fick placering på varvets ritkontor.
1965 fick han en tjänstebostad på Finnberget
1966 gifte han sig med Sigbrit och de fick 2 döttrar, Cecilia 1969 och Elisabet 1975.
Fram till varvets nedläggning 1991 (förutom någon tid på KF:s ritkontor vid Slussen) arbetade Rolf på Finnbodas ritkontor med inriktning framför allt på inrednings- och utrustningsritningar samt arrangemangsritningar för varvets nybyggnader samt reparations- och ombyggnadsverksamhet. Han utvecklade därvid en mycket stor fackkunskap och yrkesskicklighet gällande fartygsritningar.
Efter varvets nedläggning kunde han 1991 erbjudas timanställning vid Baltic Marine Service AB ( BMS) där han var aktiv fram till 2012.
Hans arbetsuppgifter var att delta i företagets konsultverksamhet gällande fartygskonstruktion, ombyggnad och reparation.
Även här kom han att starkt bidra med sin stora erfarenhet och yrkeskicklighet och blev en mycket uppskattad medarbetare.
