Docktäcket har tillhört en flicka född 1944 och uppvuxen i ett kollektivhus på Kungsholmen i Stockholm. Hennes föräldrar var skådespelaren Folke Hamrin och Helga Almér, född 1910, senare gift Mellner. När flickan var i treårsåldern gifte sig modern med en ny man som blev flickans adoptivpappa. Det blommiga täcket hör till en tygdocka som sedan länge legat nedbäddad i en skokartong som fått tjäna som säng. Till bädden hör även en madrass, kudde, underlakan, örngott med spets, överlakan se NM.....
Täcket är troligen omsytt av klänningstyg, hemtextilier eller liknande.
Skokartongen med dockan och sängkläderna förvarades på lantstället Didriksdal på Värmdö där hon vistades sommartid från omkring 1948. Den är ett exempel på delvis hemgjorda leksaker som var vanligt förekommande då leksaksproduktionen ännu inte kommit igång riktigt efter 2:a världskriget. Som vuxen arbetade givaren som lågstadielärare vid Gubbängsskolan, där hon började 1974. Hon hade inga egna barn. Samtidigt med dockan skänktes några andra kära ägodelar som hon haft sedan barndomen: en apa, kanin, hund och solhätta för barn, se NM............
