- Mottagaren har tillhört givarens farmor Matilda Wingård (1863-1944). Den fanns hos henne under hela 1930-talet. Givaren som då var barn minns hur det alltid var förenat med spänning och äventyr om vad som skulle höras i lurarna. "Barnens brevlåda" var hennes favoritprogram. Denna modell presenterades första gången på en radioutställning i Stockholm i september 1926 och tillverkades fram till 1928 i stort antal. Den kom att säljas fram till 1940-talet och kostade vid introduktionen 20 kr. "Hjärter Ess" var en välkonstruerad apparat med två utföranden, en enbart för mellanvåg och en med omkopplare för mellan- och långvåg. Den senare för att kunna ta emot den nya svenska storsändaren Motala, som kom igång 1927. Man kunde ansluta upp till tre hörlurar till mottagaren. Kristalldetektorn hade en egen konstruktion som var formgiven för att passa apparaten, vilket var ovanligt att man gjorde vid denna tid. Föremålet tillhör den samling från Telemuseum som skänktes av TeliaSonera AB till Tekniska Museet 2010.
