Diavox, den första svenska knappsatstelefonen, utvecklades gemensamt av L.M. Ericsson och Televerket och ersatte Dialog som Televerkets standardtelefon. Den yttre utformningen gjordes av Breger & Co, Stockholm.
Bland förutsättningarna för den nya telefonen ingick att den skulle kunna förses med knappsats för både ton- och impulsval samt få en förbättrad talkvalitet. Kolkornsmikrofonen ersattes med en elektretmikrofon och den automatiska regleringen vid mottagning för anpassning till abonnentledningen, som introducerades i Dialog-telefonen, infördes nu även på sändningssidan. Med Diavoxens tillkomst och introduktionen av den datorstyrda digitala telefonväxeln AXE kunde en rad nya teletjänster börja nyttjas, så som återuppringning vid upptaget, kortnummerval m.m. Diavox tillverkades mellan åren 1978-1989 av både TELI (Televerkets Industridivision) och L.M. Ericsson.
Använd för demonstrationsändamål. Föremålet tillhör den samling från Telemuseum som skänktes av TeliaSonera AB till Tekniska Museet 2010.
