Den engelska så kallade Themsenbåten ("Thames skiff") är en traditionell roddbåt som använts både för transporter och nöjesutfärder. Den har sitt ursprung i den viktorianska erans "wherries".
Enligt uppgift skall båten vara byggd före 1893 och införd till Sverige av Albert Isaksson (1885–1930). Han var det engelska klassningssällskapet Lloyd's representant i Sverige och hade alltså goda kontakter med England. Senare köptes den av Sven Abrahamsson och Börjessons Varv på Rindö. 1931 såldes båten till Ragnar Vinberg, vars sommarställe var Glyxnäs på Blidö.
