Rema AB var ett av de större försäljningsställen för skrivmaskiner och annan utrustning för kontor. Företaget startades av Tom Nyström 1954 och upphörde när datorer i form av PC slog igenom på kontoren.
Skrivmaskinen har en extra bred vals, något som ofta var viktigt för bokföring där man kunde skriva breda tabeller. Den är märkt med kyrilliska bokstäver, om Underwoods återförsäljning i Petrograd och Moskva. Dateringen av skrivmaskinen är gjord utifrån att S:t Petersburg hette Petrograd endast mellan 1914-1919 och alla utländska fabriker och affärer blev förbjudna och övertagna av Sovjetiska staten efter 1917.
Museet fick denna skrivmaskin efter Tom Nyström tillsammans med ytterligare några skrivmaskiner, som han hade bevarat sedan verksamheten Rema AB upphörde.
