D 432 är ett ellok tillverkat 1936. Loktypen ingick i en serie om totalt 333 lok som SJ och privatbanorna BJ och DJ lät tillverka mellan 1925 och 1943.
D-loket var det första elloket av allround-typ, som kunde användas i både person- och godståg. Föregångaren till 432 är D 101 som också finns i museets samling, och skillnaden är i huvudsak att 101 har träkorg medan 432 har stålkorg. Loktypen har använts i hela Sverige, och de sista togs ur trafik i slutet av 80-talet. Da-loket som kom på 1950-talet blev efterföljaren.
Det som utmärker denna loktyp är att kraften från två drivmotorer drivs via en blindaxel (ett hjul som inte når ner till rälsen) och vidare genom koppelstänger till tre drivaxlar. Loket bevarades på 1980-talet av Ostkustbanans Vänner (OKBv) i Sundsvall, som på verkstaden i Ånge lät återställa loket till ett skick det hade på 1930-1940-talet. Genom ett byte med OKBv blev Sveriges Järnvägsmuseum ägare av loket 2012. Loket har nu utrustas med ATC (Automatic Train Control) och är från 2016 ett av museets trafiklok och ett lok vi gärna plockar fram när ett riktigt gammalt lok är önskvärt.
